Launching
A launch puts a new coin on the Pons bonding curve and points creator fees at one X or GitHub account. You pay from your wallet. Onboard never holds the launch ETH.
Key facts
- Name up to 32 characters. Ticker up to 10. Description up to 256.
- Every launch costs 0.001 ETH from the launcher wallet.
- Creator tax is 1.5% total: Pons plus 0.5% from Onboard.
What you choose
Name, ticker, image, description, and optional links. Then one creator account. That is the only fee destination. You can also buy some of the coin in the same launch if you want. Leave the buy field empty if you do not.
What happens when you confirm
Onboard looks up the account and uses the dedicated wallet for it — or creates that wallet if this is the first coin for them. Your wallet then sends the 0.001 ETH launch and the coin goes live on the curve. Fees from trading accrue to that creator wallet.
After it is live
The coin shows on Markets, on the creator profile, and on your profile under Launches. The creator can open the coin and claim when fees are ready. You do not need to send them an address.
If Launch is disabled
New launches can be paused if the live launch cost would go over 0.001 ETH, or if the protocol is not taking new coins. Markets, coin pages, and claiming still work.
